Elaionas is built to run entirely on your device. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and does not collect.
The short version
Elaionas collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no network requests of any kind. Everything you enter — plots, picking days, mill tickets, oil shares, diary notes and any photos you attach — is stored only in the app's own container on your device.
What stays on your device
Your logbook. Plots, picking days, mill tickets, oil-store records and grove diary notes are saved to a file inside the app's own sandboxed storage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Your settings. Small preferences — haptics, sound, your default sack/crate carrier, your average sack weight — are saved with Apple's standard UserDefaults, on-device only.
Photos you choose to attach. When you add a photo to a plot or a mill ticket, Elaionas either asks the system photo picker to hand it a single image, or uses the camera directly, with your permission each time. The image is copied into the app's own storage; Elaionas does not browse or access the rest of your photo library.
Permissions the app can ask for
CameraTo photograph a printed mill ticket, so the original stays attached to that pressing record. Used only when you tap to take a photo.
Photo LibraryTo let you choose existing photos of your plots and trees to keep with each plot. Elaionas only receives the photos you pick.
Photo Library AdditionsTo save a pressing ticket card as an image, only if you choose to keep a copy in Photos.
NotificationsTo remind you about a grove diary note on the date you choose. These are local notifications scheduled by your device — nothing is sent over the network.
Each permission is requested only at the moment it is needed, never in advance, and the app works without granting any of them — you simply won't get that particular feature.
What we do not do
No account, sign-in or user profile of any kind.
No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking.
No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
No third-party SDKs, and no network requests — Elaionas has no server.
No selling, sharing or transmitting of your data, because none of it ever leaves your device.
Sharing, at your choice
If you use the app's own Export or Share buttons — for example to export a season as a spreadsheet, or to share a ticket as an image — the file is handed to the system share sheet you control. Elaionas has no part in what you then choose to do with it.
Children's privacy
Elaionas is a farm record-keeping tool for adults and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from children, since it does not collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything Elaionas has stored at any time from the app's Settings screen, or by deleting the app, which removes its entire container immediately.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
